Thai Binh Province

Thai Binh Province called “great peace” situated in the Red River Delta region of northern Vietnam is a vast plain – the only province that isn’t surrounded by mountains with its territory 1562 km2. Its provincial capital has a population of 1800. Located on the road between Ninh Binh & Hai Phong around 80km and 150 km from Halong bay, it is enclosed by Hai Duong, Hung Yen, Nam Dinh and Hai Phong provinces. A coastal plain province, Thai Binh has natural and ecological conditions favorable for the development of intensive and high technology agriculture. It is also a major rice and vegetable producing area of the Northern region; 54km long of coastline, vast tidal area favorable for aquaculture, seafood (especially brackish water mollusc), development of marine economic zones and eco-tourism and resorts. Many other products are grown such as: maize, sweet potato, sugar cane, tea, cotton, mulberries, peanuts and nutsedge.

The ethnic groups in the province are Viet (Kinh) – majority, Thai, Tay and Ra Glai. 

There are the traditional handicraft villages, the historical – cultural relic sites and the unique folk festivals. Many artisanal products are developed such as silk, fabric; fine art objects rattan and bamboo.

Numerous attractions of the region will provide our visitors a great pleasure. You could take a trip to Keo Pagoda, Dong Ba temple, Dam Dong, Tien La and some similar islands: Con Vanh & Con Thu.
